Agra, Oct 20 (IANS) Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of Max New York Life Insurance’s new product Max Vijay, Tuesday urged common people to invest in it saying the “scheme will benefit the whole of India”.
“When Max Life Insurance came to me with this initiative and introduced me to this scheme, I realised that this is something that will benefit the common man,” Amitabh told reporters here.
“I know the scheme will benefit the whole of India and people should indulge in it.”
Max Vijay, according to the company, is designed for the low-income people to help them meet the challenges of unpredictability in life.
The policy provides financial inclusion for a period of 10 years, with affordable initial payment options of Rs.1,000, Rs.1,500 and Rs.2,500.
It allows people to start saving with small amount of Rs.10 to maximum Rs.2,500 per day, as per their convenience.
According to Rajesh Sud, managing director and chief executive of Max New York Life Insurance, Max Vijay has been created “with a vision to empower every Indian”.
Asked why the company chose Amitabh as its brand ambassador, Sud said: “We wanted a celebrity who can connect to the brand not just physically but emotionally and who better than Bachchan. He is an icon.”
