Amitabh Bachchan Says IIFA Does Not Want His Services Anymore

Bollywood mega-star has been closely associated with India International Film Awards (IIFA) for last few years but now this union has come to an end after a long time.
However, Big B made it clear that the end was not called from his side but from the organizers of the show. The megastar took to micro-blogging site Twitter to clear the things. He posted saying that IIFA informed that it does not require his services anymore so the Bachchan family is not going to be a part of the event this year.
Big B added that it’s not him but the IIFA organizers, who did not want him in Toronto and same is the case with Sri Lanka. Problems started between IIFA and the Bachchans in the last year when they boycotted the event in Sri Lanka after South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce protested against the alleged mistreatment of Tamils in that country. Salman Khan had to manage the show last year in absence of the Bachchans.
It means Big B will no longer remain the brand ambassador of IIFA. Sabbas Joseph, director of Wizcraft entertainment, the organizer of IIFA, said that they won’t have any replacement of Big B due to their relationship and respect for the actor.
Joseph said that they are inviting the Bachchans even in this year as Big and IIFA are inseparable. He added that he does not know the reason behind their absence last year.
