June 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 5th season of America’s Got Talent kicked off on June 1 with Howie Mandel replacing David Hasselhoff. For everyone who was in tears when Simon Cowell ended his American Idol stint, David Hasselhoff’s exit was quickly overcome by the funny replacement, Howie Mandel. Considering that the highlight of the talent show should be the talent and not the judges, the popularity and style of the judges has been the most talked about thing in all these shows. For new host Nick Cannon, Howie Mandel is an inspiration. Both of them are stand-up comedians turned host. Howie Mandel, whose previous stints include ‘Deal Or No Deal’ has joined the panel that already has Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne.

Fans of the show are already speculating the future clashes between Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel but the latter’s sense of humor might just make the show even more interesting. According to Nick Cannon, Howie Mandel’s inclusion has changed the show’s energy levels considerably.

Howie Mandel showed his amazement after the performance of the two-man dance group Future FunK from Oxnard, CA. The two members which amazed the audience got three YESes from the judges. Miles “Baby Boogaloo” Brown aged % and his dance partner Bailey “Bailrok” Munoz got Howie Mandel’s first ‘Wow’ for this season. Another highlight of the show’s premiere was the New Direction clan that received a standing ovation from the audience and Piers Morgan called it ‘emotional’ and ‘inspiring’. The judges and the audience both realized that this group, of all those who competed so far, will be a major contender for the title this year.
