Sep 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night on ‘America’s Got Talent’ the contestants were all raw nerves and shaky smiles as they were one by one called out to stand in front on millions of watchers to find out who was sent through to the next round, and who was going home. The first contestants which were called on to the stage by Nick Cannon to see who would be sent home was Debra Roma, Michael Grasso, and Murray, and Nathaniel. After America’s vote, the act which is moving one step closer to headlining a Las Vegas show is…Michael Grasso. Michael Grasso has had three kidney transplants, one from his mother, and two from cousins, with the last one being eight years ago. He has fought very hard to survive and get to the point in his life.

‘La Reve’ gave an outstanding dance performance, aerial acrobatics with people being flipped high into the air, and girls twirling all the way to the rafters. They perform at the Las Vegas Wynn Resort weekly. Information on showtimes are available here .

Fighting Gravity and Jeremy van Schoonhoven were called to the stage next. Jeremy has a stunt bicycle act that is quite amazing and Fighting Gravity puts on quite a good show with black lights and seemingly gravity defying dancing. Sharon expressed her confusion,m since both of these acts were very good, and on her top five list. Her confusion was soon wiped away though, as Nick announced that they were both going through.

There were two spots left in the top ten, and Haspop, Jackie Evancho and Maestro Alexander Bui walked out on to the stage to find which one of them would be the next to go though. Howie felt they were all incredibly talented but felt he was not qualified to discuss their talents since he was a “cultural ignoramus” (as Piers called him the previous night).

After America’s vote, Jackie Evancho will be going through to the next round. Piers asked her how does it feel to be potentially two songs away from winning a million dollars and what she would spend it on. She said she hoped to spend it “on the animals,” to which Sharon “awwwed” and Cannon said , “You always have the right thing to say!”

The last three acts hit the stage, and the first one sent home was Michael Lipari & Ashleigh Dejon, which left two acts for the judges to choose from, Studio 1 Young Beasts Society and Alice Tan Ridley. Ridley says that the reason she should be chosen is that she is “much older than the others,” and she has less time left to do something like this. Young Beast Society told the judges “You know how hard we work for this,” and went on to explain that as hard as they work, “You know we won’t let you down.”

Piers went with the act that “last night I really felt to myself they should be in the top ten” which is Studio 1. Sharon felt both acts were awesome but she went with studio 1 as well, which means that they win. So the groups going through on last night’s show were Michael Grasso, Fighting Gravity, Jeremy van Schoonhoven,Jackie Evancho, and Studio 1 Young Beast Society. They will join the five acts which made it through last week, Christina & Ali Michael Grimm, Prince Poppycock, Taylor Mathews and Anna & Patryk, to form the top ten. These top ten acts will go on tour for the first time this year, similar to the ‘American Idol’ contestants top ten tours.
