October 14th, 2010 - 4:07 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire

October 14, 2010 (Sampourn Wire): Its time again for the American Music and on Tuesday

the nomination list for the 2010 awards was announced and Eminem has taken the lead over the others with five nods in various categories. Tying with him with equal number of nominations is Lady Antebellum. Following the rapper and country music group is the 16year old Justin Bieber with four nominations.

The nomination list did spring a surprise for many as Lady Gaga managed to get only two nominations, one in the “Favorite Female Artist (Pop or Rock)” where she will compete against Katy Perry and Ke$ha.  The other nomination for Lady Gaga is for the “Artist of the Year” and will be challenged by Eminem, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, and Ke$ha.

Eminem’s album ‘Recovery’ helped him to secure nominations in both the genres of “Rap/ Hip Hop” and “Pop or Rock”. He was also nominated in the Favorite Male Artist in both the “Pop or Rock” and “Rap/Hip Hop” categories.

Usher, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and B.o.B got three nominations this year. Does this less nods for Lady Gaga signify that the “Poker Face” singer is burning out with time and becoming less popular? The nomination is based on combining the most played songs on TV and radio, streaming in internet, sales of the album and singles and the popularity of the artist. The list is for the nomination is made from the Ultimate Chart created by the BigChampagne.

This time in too the 38th AMA winners will be decided based upon the votes casted online and the program will be telecasted live on ABC from L.A’s Nokia Theatre at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov 21. One can cast the vote at AMAVote.com.
