Mar 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night was the results show for the top eleven contestants on ‘American Idol’. It was Motown week, and all of the performers have done a really great job singing the songs of that era. Choosing which ones would be in the bottom three had to be very difficult for the voters in American but here were we, waiting for the results, to find out who would go home, and who would go on the the top 10.

The show opens and all eleven contestants continue the Motown theme with ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’. The stage then opened up to reveal Stevie Wonder sitting at the keyboard, as he began to sing ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’. Steven, Jennifer, and Randy seemed so thrilled they looked about ready to jump out of their seats. Soon Stevie began to call for Steven Tyler, and sang a ‘Happy Birthday’ song for him, as Jennifer, Ryan and Randy led him up onto the stage to get a birthday cake and a poster of himself.

Lauren, Pia, and Scotty were called up first. Ryan said that although they all did very well on performance night, and the judges loved them all, because of America’s vote they would all three need to pack their bags (long hesitation as Scotty’s face fell in disappointment, and the girls looked totally lost and confused) “in a few months.. for the finals, you are all safe!” Ryan finished as Steven was heard laughing and asking “What are you doing, man?”

‘Sugarland’ performed ‘Stuck Like Glue’. The song was great, although her choice of clothing left a little to be desired, with very tight green pants, a blue belt, pink jacket over a black shirt and red heels….kinda scary.

James and Paul were the next two who were brought to the center of the stage to learn their fate. Ryan shared with them, that it was incredible, as much as he loved them, both of them is “not safe” tonight. “I mean you are really not safe tonight,” as the stage opened up to reveal Hulk Hogan. After just showing a skit on how these two contestants love ‘WWE Wrestling’ this part was quite entertaining as Hulk informed the two men that they are indeed safe, but looked at Ryan, and informed him, “You, are NOT safe!” Hogan then tossed Ryan into the audience.

Jacob, Thia, and Stefano were called to center stage and listened to Ryan while holding hands. Jacob was safe. That left Thia, and Stefano. Thia and Stefano are both in the bottom three. Naima, Casey, and Haley came up to hear how the audience voted for them. Naima is safe…. Haley has been in the bottom three for the last two weeks. Casey has never been, but he is this week. Haley is safe.

So Stefano, Casey and Thia are the bottom three. Jennifer Hudson performed ‘Where You At?’ and said that it “feels good to be home.” She is a former American Idol winner. Then Ryan announced that Thia was safe. Wait. Really??? Okay, well, the person with the lowest number of votes who must sing for the judges in hopes of getting a pass, was….CASEY!?1? Wow. Everyone seems shocked as Casey takes the mic. As he began to sing, the judges stopped him.

“This is crazy wrong,” Steven said,” So we are going ahead and making the decision to keep you on.” Just then, Casey almost fainted, and Ryan had to catch him. Amazing! The judges get one save per season, and they used it for Casey Abrams! There will not be a top ten tour…all eleven will go on tour!
