Mar 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Last night’s decisions were vital on American Idol, as the top ten will be chosen. It is the top ten artists who get to go on tour. Whoever did not make it through last night, misses out on a terrific opportunity. The show started off with the top eleven performing “Wake Me Up Before You Go.” It was a fun and lively rendition of the song which showed off the talents of each artist. Siobhan was the first to stand for the results part of the show last night. She said that this week is important to all of them, and she is willing to challenge herself and change things up in the future. Ryan read the results, “You are going to have to pack your bags…this summer, because you are going on tour..you’re safe.”

Casey and Lee stood as Ryan read their results. Ryan opened the envelope…but then changed his mind and asked them to both wait as he got Tim and Paige to stand. Neither Tim nor Paige got very good reviews the previous night, but Tim said he would not do it any differently, that he had fun. Paige thinks she lost herself in the song, and it was a poor performance. They were both in the bottom three.

Miley Cyrus sang and then laughingly told Ryan that she thought the judges were harsh the previous night, that she liked the slide across the floor which Tim did, and that she absolutely could not perform knowing they were going to judge her afterward. She said she does not know how the contestants can do it.

Aaron was asked to stand next, and was reminded of how much the judges had liked his performance the night before. He was safe. Didi came after Aaron, and Ryan spoke of how the judges were not fond of her rendition of “You’re No Good.” She said they had been very confusing and she had no idea what the judges wanted. I agree with her, this season has been very strained and the judges have seemed harsher than normal, and they often do not agree. Mixed messages are being given to all of the contestants it seems. Didi is safe.

“Big Mike” was next, and he is going on tour as well. And then came Crystal, who also had mixed messages from the judges. Simon feels she should keep the guitar, and Kara and Ellen do not. When Ryan asked her who she should listen to if she made it through she answered clearly,”Me.” The audience roared it’s approval. She was safe. Andrew and Katie were next, and Andrew said he is struggling but he does know himself as an artist. Andrew was once again safe, and Katie is in danger. Katie, Tim, and Paige were all in danger, but Katie was named as the first one of the three to be safe. So either Tim or Paige had to sing for their lives before the judges. Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato sang a duet (Make A Wave) together and the chemistry was wonderful.

Paige and Tim stood on stage to wait for the results. And Tim was safe, so Paige had to sing for her life, but Simon went ahead and let her down before her performance. He told her that instead of getting her hopes up, he would let her know now, she is going home. Ryan asked if it was unanimous, and everyone said “Yes.” She spoke of how she had a few issues during the whole experience, laryngitis and others, but she had fun and loved being here. So Paige Miles went home last night.
