Los Angeles, Jan 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 10th season of one of the most successful television reality shows in the world, “American Idol”, premiered on Wednesday on Fox.

The show had two new judges on Wednesday. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez joined longtime judge, Randy Jackson, for the debut episode. This time around Randy had another seat on the show. He occupied the seat that was always reserved for Simon Cowell.

With the exit of Simon, it seems the show does not have any harsh judges. All the judges were very “gentle” on the contestants and at a point Jennifer Lopez even conceded that turning down a contestant was very difficult for her.

At a point during the show, she turned to Randy and asked him, “How did you do this for 10 years?”

The judges were widely praising all the contestants but many critics believe that the judges may move into their other side when the show enters the live episode. That part of the show will be aired from March this year.

It seems viewers should embrace themselves up for some changes this season at least from the viewpoint of the judges.

The show audition train moves to New Orleans on Thursday.
