Los Angeles, Calif., Jan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American Idol fourth place finalist Jason Castro has tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Mandy Mayhall, sources reveal. Reports claim that the 22 year old singer who participated in the seventh season of American Idol, married his girlfriend in a private ceremony in his hometown on Saturday.

Reportedly the news came to light after the singer-songwriter expressed through a social networking site that he had finally exchanged vows with the girl of his dreams. The pair walked down the aisle amidst family and friends, with fellow American Idol alumni David Archuleta also reportedly being present to offer his best wishes to the newly wedded couple.

Meanwhile, the family and friends of the couple have revealed pictures of the wedding day through the networking site. The singer’s mother Rene Castro, supposedly introduced her new daughter-in-law to the world by posting pictures of her in the site. Although other intrinsic details about the wedding have not been available, it has been revealed that soon after the wedding, the couple took off for their honeymoon.

The wedding ceremony turned out to be a dream come true for the young couple, who started seeing each other in 2008. After the couple declared their engagement in the month of November, reports surfaced which claimed that the singer popped the question to his lady love on Halloween.

Meanwhile, the young musical artist has also been hitting headlines as he is all set to release a five song collection “The Love Uncompromised EP” on January 12. Moreover, Jason Castro would also be releasing his full length album later this year.
