america September 17, 2010 (pen Men at Work): American Idol is by far one of the biggest Talent Hunt competition on TV and it has a fan following that transcends national borders. This year American Idol will celebrate its 10th year in the showbiz. To mark the occasion, some new rules have been coined to make it easier for contestants to audition. Fox network recently announced that they have teamed up with the popular social networking site MySpace so that people can send their recorded performances to the panel of judges online.

The show is going through some major overhauling because most of the old panel of judges are now gone. Simon Cowell, Ellen Degeneres and Kara DioGuardi have been replaced with Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. It seems that Fox is really trying to spice things up and take the show to the next level by including music icons of the industry like Tyler and Lopez in the show.

Now it seems that everyone can set up their webcam, record their performance and send it to the American Idol website through MySpace. Contestants are allowed to sing from a list of popular songs like Bill Wither’s “Ain’t No Sunshine When She’s Gone,” Keith Urban’s “Kiss a Girl,” etc.

The performances are not allowed to be longer than 40 seconds and all the auditions must be submitted within October 6, 2010. The candidates chosen from the online audition will be called to Los Angeles for a final round of evaluation in front of the judges. American idol online audition will surely open up new doors of opportunity for talented singers.
