Mar 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The final twelve sang Tuesday on the bigger stage and tonight the first of the twelve will go home, who will be eliminated? They all have big dreams of being the next American Idol, but we all know only one can win. The people vote by calling into the 800 numbers assigned to of the each contestant. Those votes are counted up to reveal who stays and who goes. The judges this season are allowed to save one contestant if they feel the one voted off deserves a second chance. They are only allowed one save, so they have to be sure to get it right.
The top twelve shot their first of several Ford Automobile commercials and they were able to help design a Ford Fiesta Automobile. The viewers may log onto Americanidol.com and find out how they can enter to win one of the Ford vehicles the Idol contestants designed.
David Cook performed “Jumpin Jack Flash” from the Rolling Stones; spoke of his new album coming out soon. David will be traveling to Africa as part of the Idol Gives Back which will air near the end of this years Idol season. Pop sensation Orianthi rocked with her new hit single “According to You”. Orianthi was scheduled to tour with Michael Jackson last year performing with the band. Ke$ha a Global pop sensation who’s debut album top the charts sang “Blah Blah Blah” (3Oh! 3 joined her) on Idol.
Paige Miles who struggled with a sore throat was the first to be told she was in the bottom three. The suspense continued as Ryan had each Idol stand as he spoke to them about their performance. Tim Urban in the bottom three, was the Idol that was called back after one of the 24 had to leave due to a contract he was under with another company. After confusing Katie Stevens more when Kara said she needs to sing more young pop songs then Simon disagreed and thought she needs to sing more country songs. There was no confusion when Ryan told her she was safe. The final contestant announced in the bottom three was Lacey Brown. With all three-idol performers standing on stage Ryan sent Tim back to his seat, he was safe for another week. Paige Miles was also safe for another week, sending Lacey Brown home. The judges did not to use their one save on her. Ms. Brown said she was thrilled to be a part of the show and will continue to keep singing.
