Feb 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) They shared the same dream, they shared the same stage. This was the opportunity they have longed for, but their destiny was unclear. All were fighting to secure their spot in history. Four people are in the bottom, and are going home. The votes were in last night on “American Idol.”
The top 24 started the show off by singing “American Boy.” None of the top 24 wanted to faced the harsh reality of going home, but it was time. The girls were called first, and Siobhan was safe. Haley Vahgn went next, and she too was safe.Michelle made it through as well with her version of falling. Katlynn was safe after America’s vote. Katie and Janelle Wheeler were left standing, and it was the end of the road for Janelle. As she sang “What About Love?” for her goodbye song, she sounded very good. It was sad to see her go.
“Allison Iraheta”, the teenage girl who rocked “American Idol” last season, came out to sing her new hit, “Scars”. She was as awesome as ever. Then it was time for the rest of the girls to hear their fate. Paige was first, and America said she deserved to stay. Lacie came next, and she made it through as well. Lily Scott also was safe, as was Crystal. That left Ashley and Didi. Didi was safe, and sadly, Ashley had to go home.
When the first half of the boys stood to hear their results, “Big Mike” Lynch found out that America wanted him to stay. John was safe as well, and Aaron will be here next week, just a Simon predicted. Todrick was asked to stay, and that left Tim and Joe. As Ryan called Tim’s name, he looked accepting of his fate, but Ryan’s next words were,”Sit down you are safe,” and Tim, who took the place of the controversially disqualified Chris Golightly, looked as if he were going to faint from shock.
Ryan Seacrest interrupted the results for an important announcement. On April 21st they will be hosting another “Idol Gives Back.” “Chris Allen”,last season’s Idol winner, was just back from Haiti, to be on last night’s show. He performed the song, “Let It Be” while showing footage from Haiti. He shared with us that there is a lot of devastation and destruction but there is also a lot of hope, and he thinks Haiti will be better than before. The rainy season is on it’s way to Haiti, and Chris stresses that it will be bad because there is little shelter and what shelter there is, isn’t waterproof. He says they will need a lot of help for sure. Chris’s performance last night will be on Itunes, and all proceeds will go to Haiti.
Then it was time for the second group of guys to find out who goes home. Casey is staying, Jermaine is safe, Lee will be back, and Andrew is safe as well. That left Tyler and Alex, and Tyler was sent home. Alex is safe for another week.
And that ended this week’s “American Idol”. Be sure to tune in next week to see who will stay and who will go home. Thanks for reading!
