Jan 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Wednesday night was a treat to the eyes of all the music fans all over the world. Last night American Idol 2011 premiered on FOX at 8p.m. which brought a big bunch of fresh new contestants on the show. The 10th season of “American Idol” kicked off last night, but the very judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez did not quite shake up the show as promised. Moreover, all members of the three-strong panel - which included returning judge Randy Jackson commented individually on the performances of the contestants.

The contestants who appeared on the show could be dived into two distinct categories- the contenders and the pretenders. Some of them were real talents like Rachel Zevita, who seemed to be much improved from the last time people saw her doing the opera. The judges as well as the audience was stunned when they came to discover that Kenzie Palmer, was perhaps the youngest of all the contenders. She was just 15 years. The introduction of the contestants last night brought about the revelation of a huge fan of Jennifer Lopez. She was Tiffany Rios. She sang two songs out of which her second song, “I’m Your Lady” was simply amazing. The judges and the audience present there burst into a roar of applause. She was asked to sing the Jersey Shore parody. She had amazing voice and everyone present there was moved by the song she sang.

The contestants did their level best to impress the judges so as to make their ground firm on the show. With different contestants coming up and putting forward their individual performances, it was a great day for both the contestants to be able to perform in front of the internationally acclaimed singers, as well as or the judges to judge the fresh new group of singers to find out the new voice of America. Indeed the last night’s show kept the viewers glued to their seats, craving for more.
