American Idol 1 of 12 Go Home: David, Ke$ha & Orianthi Perform
March 18th, 2010 - 1:42 pm ICT by Angela Kaye Mason ( Leave a comment )Mar 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tuesday night on American Idol, when Simon suggested that one of the singers’ performance was “corny, verging on desperate” Ryan asked Simon which part of the song he meant. When Simon snapped the reply,”Ryan do you want me to talk to you or him…” Ryan walked down the stage, got in Simon’s face and told him that he was just trying to help the singer out. Simon then suggested they could take it outside, and everyone laughed it off.
When the show opened last night, there was a tense moment as Simon told him not to ever do that again, that the “eyeballing” was uncomfortable, to which Ryan replied, “Well this is too.” Simon also asked if Ryan wanted his job, to which Ryan said, “No, I am pretty comfortable with mine.” You could hear Randy Jackson in the background commenting to the discomfort of the moment, and Kara joked along. The tension seems to be building between the two, but is it real, or just part of the show? David Cook then gave a performance which melted all of the tension away.
On last night’s American Idol, it was time to find out how America voted and who could be going home. The judges do have the option to save someone if they feel that the person deserves another chance. Paige was asked to stand first. She had laryngitis Tuesday night when she performed, but still did an good job. She was one of the bottom three. Lee was next. He sang “Beast of Burden” on Tuesday, and he was safe last night. Siobhan did an awesome job last night, and Simon even suggested that she had stepped ahead of Crystal, whom Simon had named as his favorite previously. Siobhan was safe. Aaron was the next one who was called, and he was safe as well.
Andrew and Tim were then called out by Ryan. Kara said that neither of them really had a great performance the previous night. Andrew was safe, and Tim was in the bottom three. So far Paige and Tim are two of the bottom three. Orianthi’s performance of “According to You”
Didi was next and she was safe. Crystal agreed that Tuesday night was not her best performance. She was still safe and Katie came next. Kara feels that she should be R&b and Simon said it should be country, but either way, she was safe. Mike, whose performance was judged by Simon as corny, was safe. Casey and Lacie were called up next, and Lacie was in the bottom three. Casey was safe. So the bottom three was Paige, Tim and Lacie. One of these three will have to sing for their lives before the judges. Ellen said she did not know if either of them was worth the judges only save for the season. Ryan, however, went ahead and told Tim that he could stick around for another week. So that leaves Paige and Lacie in the bottom two. Ke$ha came out to perform “Blah, Blah, Blah.” It was an …interesting performance.
After the nation voted, the one who would be singing for her last chance from the judges was Lacie Brown. She sang “Stories” in hopes they would give her their only save. It was a unanimous, “No” as announced by Simon. She said she loved singing and would continue. So Lacie is going home.
