Ameen Sayaani launches his new album

The original radio star of India, Ameen Sayaani recently, launched his next new album “Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein’ Volumes 6-10. The first five volumes, launched by Saregama in January 2009, were a hit in the market. The Music Company Saregama owns the largest music archives in India. The album was launched by the Sales Head of Saregama Mr. Abhay Tiwari.
Ameen Sayaani was formerly the anchor of the immensely popular radio programme “Geetmala’. He revealed his love story amidst a host of other fascinating anecdotes and stories in “Geetmala Ki Chhaon Mein’ Volumes 6-10.
A comprehensive retrospect of the legendary Geetmala show, peppered with amusing anecdotes,heart-warming nostalgia and immortal songs, each volume also contains excerpts from interviews of illustrious film personalities, and sounds like a racy sizzling episode of the legendary Geetmala radio show.
Volumes 6- 10 contain hit songs from 1956- 58 and are interspersed with interesting anecdotes, like Ameen Sayaani’s first visit to Radio Ceylon and his own love story. Also interview snatches of luminaries of the Hindi film world like Raj Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Naushad, Madan Mohan, Pran, Begum Akhtar, Ajit, Sunil Dutt, Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Mehmood and Gulzar are included to take you back into the golden era of Hindi film music.
