Nov 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) AMC has clearly announced on Thursday that it will not be renewing its politically thrilling series ‘Rubicon’ for the second season. The political series was aired first on Aug 1 on AMC and is produced by Warner Horizon Television. The television series starred James Badge Dale, Arliss Howard and Miranda Richardson.
AMC thanked the Rubicon team for lending the network to portray such a rich and compelling story and said that it was not an easy decision for them to take. AMC further praised the highly talented team of Rubicon. Rubicon begun at a time when the show ratings for mad men were quite high. the high ratings of the new series. On its fresh arrival Rubicon had gained quite a high popularity and was one of the most watched original series on AMC. But gradually the ratings of the show failed to keep its position high and this can be also taken as a reason behind the decision made by AMC.
The show was quite a favorite with the critics as well as with its fans. It even faced criticism for lacking enough action and for its slow pace. However Rubicon’s fans have catered to the view that this was what distinguished this particular show from the others. The last episode of this television series was aired on October 17th where the terrorists had set off the bomb and Spengler’s role in the conspiracy was unfolded by Will but the drama was yet to unfold the consequences which had left its fans in the hope for a second season. Rubicon’s fans are undoubtedly disappointed over this announcement.
