Indiana, June 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) TMZ has reported that Amber Portwood was seen outside of her home nearly a week after she was hospitalized for allegedly trying to take her own life. The MTV reality star was placed under suicide watch at the St. John’s Hospital in Indiana when the incident happened.

Amber’s boyfriend and father of her child Gary Shirley told the police that Amber called him on the morning of the 14th of June threatening to end her life. Emergency officers were eventually contacted and when they got to the house of Amber, they found her unconscious. She was promptly rushed to the hospital. The police later told reporters that Amber did not seem injured when she was found.

Gary assured on Thursday that Amber was safe. On his Twitter account, Gary said his 21-year-old girlfriend “is safe and getting the help she needs right now. Thanks for your prayers and support.”

Amber and Gary have had stormy relationship over the years. Last December, a fracas on their reality show “Teen Mom” resulted in Amber being charged with felony domestic battery and child neglect.

Amber is suffering from bipolar disorder and her behavior has got many people asking whether the show should be cancelled or not.
