Amar Upadhyay to host crime show (With Image)
June 25th, 2012 - 11:15 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, June 25 (IANS) After doing fiction shows and reality show, now Amar Upadhyay takes up a new role - he will host crime show “Police Files”.
In his new avatar, Amar will anchor the show and take audiences through real-life crime stories.
To be aired on Big Magic, the show will see him interacting with psychiatrists, lawyers and police officers to find reasons behind crimes and signs to look out for.
“I liked the concept of ‘Police Files’ and its ability to help audiences deal with the growing crime rate in the region. I look forward to making this iconic show an ideal platform to fight crime and create awareness amongst public,” Amar said in a staement.
Amar made his television appearance in TV series “Dekh Bhai Dekh” in the 1990s, but he made it big as Mihir in “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu”. He also featured in films like “Dahshat”, “Dhund - The Fog”, and a brief appearance in J.P. Dutta’s war movie, “LOC Kargil”.
The 35-year-old was also a participant in “Bigg Boss 5″.
