Amanda Holden has a scary time while giving birth
January 26th, 2012 - 11:29 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Jan 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Details are emerging about what took place when Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden went into labor. The British newspaper Daily Mail reports that the 40-year-old had to fight for her life during the delivery.
Doctors carried out caesarean section to get the baby out. The newspaper reports that the mother-of-three nearly lost her life after the delivery. Doctors had to give her several emergency blood transfusions over a three-day period to save her life. The report say Holden was put on a respirator during the time.
Holden gave birth to daughter Hollie Rose on Monday. The family held on to the news because of the emergency that occurred after the delivery. When born, the baby weighed a healthy 6lb 1oz.
Daily Mail quoted a source as saying that, “Amanda nearly died. It was a life threatening situation. There was a huge loss of blood.”
It is still not clear how Holden ended up in that position. She walked into the hospital expecting a normal delivery. She is married to Chris Hughes
A spokesperson of the family issued a statement saying that, “…Amanda has been in a critical condition for the past three days. She is now stable and we expect her to make a full recovery very soon.”
