Amalric wanted to be director, not actor
November 18th, 2008 - 12:58 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Nov 18 (IANS) French actor Mathieu Amalric doesn’t care about winning awards because he cares more about being a director.According to contactmusic.com, Amalric explains that he got into acting by chance and still cannot believe that he has won three Cesar acting awards.
Speaking to a magazine, he says: “Me, a guy who never thought of being an actor, I have three. It’s stupid. The real me is a director. In April (09), I’m going to stop acting and direct another film.”
Amalric plays the villain in the new Bond movie “Quantum Of Solace”.
