Dec 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Grammy award-winning singer Alicia Keys along with other celebrities which includes Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, P. Diddy, Ryan Seacrest and many other celebs have taken an active step to raise money for a charity “Keep A Child Alive”. All the celebrities would take a moment of silence and die digital deaths by signing themselves off from all social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. “Keep A Child Alive” is founded by Alicia Keys along with Leigh Blake and the celebrities hope to raise $1 billion through this campaign.
Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Khloe Kardashian, Jay Sean, Serena Williams, The Buried Life, Elijah Wood and many other celebrities have posed in coffins in an ad campaign which promotes World AIDS Day. The caption of the photographs read that the celebrities have sacrificed their digital life in order to to give life to the millions of HIV/AIDS affected people in Africa and India. Hence, the main thing is that the fans will have to buy their favorite celebrities back to life by sending text messages. As soon as a fan sends a text message stating his favorite celebrities name whom he would want to bring back to life, $10 will be donated to “Keep A Child Alive”.
While speaking about the campaign, Alicia Keys said that it is important to shock a person in order to make him wake up from his slumber. She said that she does not mean that people do not care about things but the whole campaign is a sarcastic and emotional way to get some attention from people. The campaign is named as Buy Life.
