May 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) One of the most sought after performers in the finale episode of the “American Idol” was Alice Cooper, the legendary rockstar. Surprisingly enough, his performance did not go down that well with all sections of the audience. Meaning, the performance received somewhat mixed reviews from the observers. While some felt that the performance was totally over the top and not worthy of the “American Idol” stage, still others, among them mostly die hard fans of Alice Cooper, felt that the performance totally rocked, and was true to the spirit of the singer.

Alice Cooper took to the stage of the American Idol with his hit song from the “Gossip Girls”, “School’s Out For Summer”. For the performance, he was accompanied by one of the most happening guitarists of current times, the Australian guitarist and recently turned singer Orianthi. For Orianthi though, this is not the first time that she has appeared on the hallowed stage, as she had been invited as the guest performer in an earlier episode pf the same season.

However, despite the fact that the performance as a whole did not win as much accolades as could be expected, it could not be denied, even by the hardest of critics, that the chemistry between the two singers was amazingly good. All in all, the performance of Alice Cooper was very much his signature style, with the other singers on stage dressed up as school students, and even Orianthi wearing a somewhat glamorous school uniform. In fact, the other singers were none other than the 12 Idolettes, along with the Prep School Zombies.
