Alec Baldwin won’t be running for office anytime soon
January 5th, 2011 - 6:36 pm ICT by ANINew York, Jan 5 (ANI): Actor Alec Baldwin may have said that he is very interested in running for office, but it has emerged that the ‘30 Rock’ star is not yet committed to it.
Baldwin, 52, had hinted to Eliot Spitzer on CNN’s ‘Parker Spitzer’ about wanting to join politics, but a source close to the actor has revealed that it is not taking place anytime soon.
“There’s nothing to run for in 2012,” the New York Post quoted the source as saying.
“There’s a Democratic incumbent [Tim Bishop] in his district in the Hamptons, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is looking strong,” the source said.
His rep added: “Alec has a contract with ‘30 Rock’ through 2012, and after that he’ll keep his options open.” (ANI)
