Alec Baldwin to host the season finale of SNL

Los Angeles, May 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The popular ’30 Rock’ star Alec Baldwin is all set to be the host of the Saturday Night Live (SNL) for the season finale, which is going to be aired on the 15th of May 2010. Just one week before the season finale, the show is going to be hosted by the veteran actress Betty White. It ought to be mentioned that there was an online campaign to make Betty White the host of SNL.
On the season finale, the host is going to be Alec Baldwin and the guest would be Tom Petty, which is a surefire combination. It would be Alec Baldwin’s 15th appearance on the show, and he ties this record with another funny man – Steve Martin.
Alec has a good sense of humor and he has struggled with his addiction to drugs and alcohol in his earlier days. He said that, “I would play video games from 9am to 11am, and I would wind down. I’m driving down the road, I’m having a drink, its 4 o clock; I’m supposed to have a drink. But one day I went, ‘I don’t see anybody else in their car with a plastic takeout container filled with ice and wine. They’re drinking coffee and they’re drinking diet coke. They’re not drinking wine’.”
