Washington, Sept 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Alec Baldwin and FOX News Channel contributor Michelle Malkin clashed on Twitter following the execution of Troy Davis on Thursday. Davis who was sentenced to death for killing police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989 was executed at 11:08 p.m on Thursday.

Interestingly Davis convinced several people of his innocence but he couldn’t convince any of the courts. His execution on Thursday has further polarized the already highly divided United States political front.

Baldwin and Malkin got into that division on Thursday. Ahead of the execution of Davis, Baldwin tweeted that, “When Do Cheney and Rumsfeld go on trial for murder? Will that trial be in Texas?” Baldwin advocates for the abolishing of the death penalty in the United States stating in a previous post that the act cast the United States in the bad taste to the outside world.

Baldwin’s tweet got a response from Malkin who wrote that, “Waiting for Hollyweird @alecbaldwin’s “I am Troy Davis” tweet.” The two then started throwing insulting tweets between themselves.

In one of the tweets, Baldwin compared Malkin to Sarah Palin. Malkin also called Baldwin racist and the two continued with their insults while the remaining of the world protested against the death of Davis.
