London, Aug 27 (ANI): Jessica Alba and director Robert Rodriguez sent good wishes to troubled star Lindsay Lohan at the screening of ‘Machete’ and appreciated her performance in the upcoming movie.
LiLo was forced to miss the special screening in Los Angeles, which took place just a day after she was released from a rehab clinic at the UCLA Medical Center.
“She’s awesome in the movie. That’s what they’ll see: the actress behind all that paparazzi nonsense that follows her and won’t leave her alone.
They’ll get to see her and say, ‘Oh, that’s why we follow her around,’” the Daily Star quoted Rodriguez as telling MTV.com.
And Alba, who plays an immigration officer in Machete, added, “She’s so good in this movie. I can’t wait for people to see (her in) it.”
Lohan plays the daughter of a senator’s aide in the film, which is slated for a release in September. (ANI)
