Akon pleads guilty to fan-tossing caseDecember 18th, 2008 - 7:11 pm ICT by ANI
Washington, Dec 18 (ANI): Popstar Akon has pleaded guilty to harassment for tossing a fan off stage during a concert in June 2007.
The Lonely hitmaker will just have to pay a sum of 250 dollars and provide 65 hours of community service, reports People.
Last year, Akon entered a not guilty plea in a Fishkill, N.Y., courtroom, disputing that he threw a teenager off the stage in a minor league baseball stadium near Poughkeepsie.
A nearby concertgoer alleged that she suffered a concussion when the teen landed on her.
The incident was caught on tape and spread all over the Internet at the time.
However, Akon refused to comment as he left court. (ANI)
