Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Walks The Ramp For Manish Malhotra

October 9, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It has been quite some time that the ramp has witnessed someone as beautiful as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and it is the first time that Manish Malhotra has been able to rope in as his showstopper. So when both the powerhouses of Bollywood got together at the HDIL India Couture Week, the stage was quite likely to go on fire. Dressed to kill in a white flowing lehenga, Aishwarya Rai walked with ease, setting her lovely eyes only on hubby Abhishek Bachchan and giving him a wink and flying kisses. The actor, too, couldn’t stop praising his wife after the end of show.
In a statement to the media, Aishwarya Rai said that she had always wanted to be a part of a Manish Malhotra extravaganza but could not work out the dates on previous occasions. Now, when they have come together, the audience was left enthralled to say the least. Along with junior Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, too, joined in to cheer her daughter- in- law. The event took place at the Hotel Grand Hyatt on the 6th of October. Joining the cheer brigade were tinsel town actresses Sonam Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Urmila Matondkar and Riya Sen among several others. Also present were Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri Khan and Akshay Kumar with wife Twinkle Khanna.
The first day of the HDIL India Couture Week, thus, started on a grand note with Manish Malhotra, one of the best and busiest designer’s of India showcasing his line of clothes. The event is scheduled to continue till the 10th this month.
