The creators of the character chose members of famous Japanese bands to design the face of Aimi. In all, the facial features of six Japanese rockers were picked for the development of Aimi’s face. The eye of the virtual singer was taken from Atsuko Maeda.
The nose of Aimi was from Tomomi Itano with the hair picked from Yuko Oshima. The facial features were completed with the selection of the fake singer’s mouth, face and eyebrows. The eyebrows of Aimi were picked from Mayu Watanbe. Minami Takahashi’s face was picked for Aimi by the engineers with Aimi’s mouth taken from Mariko Shinoda.
