Ailing Rajesh Khanna admitted to hospital

Mumbai, June 23 (IANS) Veteran film star Rajesh Khanna was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital here Saturday afternoon, said a hospital source.
“Rajesh Khanna has been admitted here today (Saturday) during afternoon,” a hospital source told IANS.
The news of his ill health has been doing the rounds, but the 69-year-old reassured fans that all’s well with him by stepping out onto the balcony of his Bandra house here Thursday. He even waved out to his fans with a ‘V’ for victory sign.
Rajesh Khanna’s manager Ashwin told IANS Wednesday that the actor had stopped food intake for the “last three or four days”.
But the very next day, his son-in-law, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, told reporters: “He’s more than fine. He is absolutely fine. Thank you for your concern.”
The “Anand” star, who is known as India’s first superstar, was last admitted to a hospital in April.
He recently featured in a TV commercial for Havell’s fan.
