Sep 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor James Franco is not gay and the actor has come out clear about his choice in public. The actor who is known for playing some bold gay roles on-screen has discussed his choice of roles on-screen and his personal life during a magazine interview recently. The interview which will be published in the October issue of the magazine, has James Franco discussing his attraction for off-beat roles and how it is the challenges that these roles bring that drives Ahna O’Reilly’s boyfriend to sign them.

James Franco, boyfriend of Ahna O’Reilly said during the interview that most of the people think him to be gay because of his on-screen role choice. He emphasized however that there is something within him that makes him do the roles convincingly. Actor said “I don’t smoke pot. I’m not gay”. He maintained that the history of Hollywood films is full of heterosexual love stories that have been presented on screen several times. It is the homosexual roles which according to him emerges with new challenges and attracts him towards them. He maintained that homosexual roles are more interesting than stereotypical heterosexual roles.

However, the actor unlike many other actors and celebrities, who have come up clear about their sexual orientation in public, maintained that keeping in mind his career, he would perhaps have maintained silence if he was gay. However, with his lady love by his side, James Franco is again ready to play another gay role on screen. The actor who is known for playing the role of Harvey Milk’s (Sean Penn) lover in “Milk” will be seen playing the role of Beat poet Allen Ginsberg in Howl.
