London, Feb 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Supermodel Agyness Deyn has come clean on her age after admitting that she lied about it in the past. The English star recently revealed that she “knocked off a few years” from her age with the help of her modeling agency.

During a frank chat with The Sun, Agyness revealed that she was in fact born in 1983 and not 1989 as she had claimed in the past. That means the supermodel is actually 29 years and not 23 as has been reported in the past.

Agyness was born Laura Hollins. In 2007, some former school mates came out and started raising the red flag on her age. The group launched a Facebook page called “Agyness Deyn You’re Not 18.”

The group wrote that their agenda was to expose the real age of the supermodel writing that, “This group is for all those who realise that supermodel Agyness Deyn, AKA Laura Hollins, is not 18, or 21 or any of the other ages she claims to be. We know people who went to school with her and will verify she is 24.”

Agyness said her modeling agency convinced her to change her name because there were a lot of Lauras already in the modeling world. She revealed that she chose Agyness because that was her grandmother’s name.
