Agnee And Radio Mirchi Tie-Up

May 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): “Radio Mirchi’ has tied up with the famous band Agnee in an effort to encourage music activities. “Generation A-Star Mirchi Create with Agnee” is the name of the new Radio Mirchi on ground reality show.
The hunt, basically, aims at bringing local aspiring singers to the fore and getting them nationwide recognition.
For the auditions, the singers will have to sing any of the songs sung by “Agnee’. The auditions will take in 7 cities viz. Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Bangalore. In the first round, 40 participants will be selected by Mirchi’s RJs.
“Agnee’ will then shortlist 4 singers from each city, with whom the band will travel and perform in live concerts and city finales will be conducted. One singer from each city will then represent the city in the Grand Finale, which will be conducted on July 10 in Mumbai.
The winners, one male and one female, would get the chance to record and sing live with “Agnee’. Besides, they would also get a break in Bollywood as they would get to sing a song composed by “Agnee’ for an upcoming flick called Gulaab Gang.
The band’s lead vocalist Mohan and lead guitarist Koko are very excited about this first ever radio reality show. They believe that in a country full of singers, they will get to meet some new super talents on this tour. They expressed their wish to include their fans and listeners in every aspect of music. They have also wished all the contestants best of luck!
