African American critics hail ‘Precious’ as best film

The Best Director prize was claimed by Lee Daniels for the film and Mo’Nique landed a Best Supporting Actress honour, reports Contactmusic.
Thanks to the film, Geoffrey Fletcher shared the Best Screenplay award with Ron Clements, Rob Edwards and John Musker, who penned The Princess and the Frog.
Morgan Freeman was named Best Actor for his turn as Nelson Mandela in Invictus.
And Beharie claimed the Best Actress award for American Violet. (ANI)
