Aerosmith’s Joe Perry dismisses split rumours
September 24th, 2009 - 5:50 pm ICT by ANILondon, September 24 (ANI): Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has refuted rumors that the band is splitting following his differences with frontman Steven Tyler.
The rocker insists that the band is taking a break and will be back soon.
“Aerosmith is taking a breather,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
Perry also believes that he will soon be back in good terms with the band’s vocalist.
He said: “Whether it’s him calling me or me calling him, it will happen. Maybe we have three more records in us. Maybe we have five.”"
He also revealed that the band will perform at a Formula One race meeting in the United Arab Emirates on 1 November.
Perry added: “We’re getting our visas together and the papers drawn up and everything.”
The band will perform at Hawaii next month for the first time after Tyler broke his collarbone falling from a stage leading to the cancellation of their summer tour. (ANI)
