Nov. 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Aerosmith front-man Steve Tyler has allegedly quit the band, as per the comments he had made to the Classic Rock Magazine. There were rumors circulating about the imminent split, but there were no definite conclusions reached. The rumors started when the bassist, Tom Hamilton said to the Boston Herald that Tyler would probably be quitting during a recent show of the band in Abu Dhabi. Tyler has not made any comments about the issue, but the rumors seem to be grounded on facts, judging from his innuendos.

Tyler had said in an interview to the Classic Rock Magazine that he was not very sure of the actions he would take in the future. However, he did hint very strongly that he would be working to promote the “Brand Tyler” and that he would be working for himself. Roughly translated, that probably means that he would be going solo and quit the band. However, it must be kept in mind that this is not the first time that rumors such as this are doing the rounds. This time however, they seem real, considering the reactions of Joe Perry.

The band’s guitarist Joe Perry said that the rumors of the split might have started after he and Tyler stopped communicating, following the accident in South Dakota, in which Tyler fell off the stage and broke his shoulder. Perry said that till then, there were no talks about a split. He came across Tyler’s decision online. He blamed Tyler’s disinterest in communicating and the tendency to cancel shows as the cause of discord in the band.
