Adnan Sami’s father critically ill
January 25th, 2009 - 1:38 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Jan 25 (IANS) Pakistani singer Adnan Sami’s father is critically ill and fighting for his life at a luxury hospital in Mumbai.”My father was down in Mumbai from Houston for a holiday when all hell broke loose. He had a relapse of the cancer of his pancreas. We had to rush him to the hospital,” Adnan told IANS.
In the past week Adnan has been in and out of the hospital, barely getting sleep.
“Please pray for him,” said the musician.
After the Mumbai terror strikes, the singer has been allegedly targeted not only by members of the music fraternity but also by a political party — he has been constantly getting calls to leave Mumbai.
Adnan, who since moves around with a posse of security guards, must now not only worry about his own safety, but also for his father’s well-being.
