London, Feb 19 (IANS) British singer Adele, who triumphed at the Grammys by winning six awards, is suing a French magazine for publishing stills from what is falsely claimed to be a sex tape of hers.

The distraught 23-year-old singer completely denies they are her pictures, reports thesun.co.uk.

Her lawyer has launched legal action after the magazine put one of the photos on its cover.

“Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory,” said the lawyer.

A celebrity photographer based in Paris posted the video on his website, which crashed as viewers rushed to watch it.

He said: “There’s a huge amount of people who want to see it.”

Speaking before the Grammys on Sunday, she had said: “I’m madly in love.”

And she told a US magazine that Simon has been her rock during a difficult few months in which she had throat surgery following a vocal cord haemorrhage.

“He looks after me. I don’t think I’d have got through the recovery if not for him,” she said.
