New York, Nov 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Adam Lambert who appeared on the CBS’s ‘Early Show’ is in the news yet again. He is quiet open about his sexual leanings and he reinforced the fact, in the AMA ceremony where he openly kissed a male performer.

‘Early Show’ replayed the much talked about AMA kiss, but CBS blurred the kiss. This reeks of double standards, as Early Show showed Madonna and Britney Spear’s much talked about kiss. But Adam Lambert’s gay-ish kiss was blurred.

Many critics objected to this apparent double standard, and CBS was with no option but to clarify their act. A CBS rep said, “We gave this some real thought/The Madonna image is very familiar and has appeared countless times including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated, and for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences.”

GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, shared their feelings. Jarrett Barrios, President of GLAAD, said that they were saddened by CBS decision to blur the kiss. He said that this is an apparent double standard for gay performers.
