adam-lambertAdam Lambert, the runner-up of American Idol will be releasing his debut album whilst simultaneously witnessing the release of his doomsday movie ‘2012′ in November this year reportedly. Lambert has made a song for Roland Emmerich opus, 2012. An apocalyptic plot like ‘2012′ certainly needs a strong voice like Lambert and there is no doubt that his voice will lend character enrichment to it.

Legendary guitarist of Queen, Brian May on a blog said (in what seemed to be a hyberbolic compliment), “Adam’s voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity; and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star.” He elatedly said that he felt “privileged” to hear the track and believed the song to be actually sensational, ‘a no. 1 smash’. Lambert has initially impressed upon May in Season 8 finale of American Idol and even had the chance to perform with him.

The rumors had spread like wildfire that May was taken off his feet by Lambert and that he could be Queen’s next choice for vocalist. May chilled down those rumors with “It’s not like we , as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”

As per MTV, the song has been produced by Cavallo, who has initially worked on projects with David Cook, Green Day and My Chemical Romance. Meatloaf’s drummer is also said to be spacing the beats in the song.
