Actress Susanne Lothar dies
July 26th, 2012 - 6:39 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattBerlin, July 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Susanne Lothar who is one of the most renowned German actresses died on Wednesday at the age of 51 years.
Susanne is widely known for her role in the International hit ‘The Reader’ and ‘The White Ribbon’. The family lawyer Christian Schetz announced her death but he did not reveal any information on what caused her death. He said that the reasons for the withholding of information are understandable.
Lothar was married to Ulrich Muehe who is also an actor. Muehe died in the year 2007 and left Lother with their two children. Lothar is said to be the most celebrated actresses of her generation in Germany. During her acting career, Susanne Lothar received four nominations of the Best Actress in the highly placed German Film Awards. These awards are equivalent to the Oscar Awards.
Lothar won an award in the year 1983 for her performance in the film Eisenhans.
A lot of people are paying tribute to the actress saying that she has left a mark in the German film industry and that she will be greatly missed. Journalist Matthias Matussek says that the film industry and the cinema industry has lost someone great.
Two children survive Susanne Lothar.
