Los Angeles, Oct 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stars often need to be in the best of shape when they appear in the public. Mostly when they are coming on TV or being shot for the back page of magazines most of these celebrities move heaven and earth to ensure that they look their best.

However one star is not all that happy with that arrangement. Rachael Leigh Cook believes that all the make-up gives the wrong impression to younger girls in the society.

She argues that younger girls will be deceived into thinking that they can achieve the “extraordinary” looks of those celebrities.

The actress is billed to attend a summit in Washington D.C where she is a speaker. The actress will talk about body image issues for younger children.

She gave an idea of what she might be talking about at the summit during an interview with FOX News. She said that, “I did not grow up getting told about how manipulated the images we see of women and girls out there are, and I think it’s an absolute travesty that young women are seeing what the media is feeding them. Nothing that you see is real, even if you look at what looks like a candid photo of someone, anything can be done. It is false advertising and false advertising is a crime so why isn’t this a crime? I’m just up in arms about it.”
