Actress Marg Helgenberger leaves CSI

Los Angeles, Jan 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Marg Helgenberger has announced that she is leaving the highly successful CBS show CSI after 12 years. The 53-year-old will leave the show after the next two episodes of the show.

She spoke about her life after the show. She revealed that she will come back to the show for special appearances. She said that, “Oh, absolutely, in fact that was one of the reasons why it was a little easier for me to leave the show because the producers said to me practically every day the door is wide open. …If I’m available and I’m up for it you betcha.” She’s proud the show has inspired some people to become criminalists and says to fans: “You haven’t seen the last of me.”

Marg plays the role of Catherine Willows. She described the role as one of the best that she has played in her career. The role has already earned her Emmy and Grammy Award nominations.

Marg will be honored on the 23rd of January when she get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

CSI is one of the most popular shows in the world. She plans to have Broadway roles after leaving the show. The final episode of the show will be aired on the 26th of January 2012.
