Actress Lisa Raye McCoy Gets Real

Los Angeles, April 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) First actress Lisa Raye McCoy’s life itself was a reality show and now she has a reality TV series named after her. “The Real McCoy” will feature in TV-One from Thursday night. In an interview, the 42 year old actress admitted that the show has been inspired from the very scandalous divorce she had last year from husband Michael Misick. Lisa Raye McCoy says that there were so many rumors surrounding her divorce that it is now time she clarified things.
In the show Lisa Raye McCoy will be seen taking care of her 20 year old daughter, her half sister and her mom. We will also find her writing some self-help books and searching for work. The actress says that since she has been a part of ‘reality TV shows’ from the very beginning she will definitely enjoy this experience.
The opening episode of “The Real McCoy” begins with Lisa Raye McCoy entering a party at least 3 hours late. Everybody present is happy to see her but they do not stop to speculate whether such a habit is rude or not. The show primarily centers around the actress’ much talked divorce and how she went about it from the very beginning. Clipping of upcoming episodes suggest that Rev. Al Sharpton is involved in her divorce proceedings. This, say many will add more drama to the show. Lisa Raye McCoy’s cousin and assistant Quincy and her stylist Joe ExClusive also feature in the reality show. We are yet to see how things work for the actress.
