June 3, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): American actress, Katherine Heigl, is widely recognized for her character of Dr. Izzie Stevens on the popular Grey’s Anatomy.

She has been in a matrimonial alliance since 2007 with Josh Kelley, a musician. She, along with Kelley, had adopted a gorgeous baby girl from South Korea in the previous year. The toddler was named Nancy Leigh, but had the pet name of Naleigh. Now, it seems that Katherine is eager to contribute to the increase of her familial size by adopting another baby.

During a recent dialogue with Germany’s Gala Magazine, Katherine articulated that she and her husband would be delighted to witness an augmentation of their familial size. They would like to possess another toddler through procreation or via the route of adoption. She mentioned that the probability of them adopting another cute toddler is on the table.

Naleigh, the South Korean baby whom they adopted in 2009, recently had to undergo cardiological surgery. Katherine also mentioned to the Gala Magazine that there are so many parentless and ill-fated kids in Haiti, a former French colony, which was hammered by a calamitous earthquake earlier this year. She asserted that the plight of the Haitian kids makes her sob. It has also generated a strong desire in her to help the Haitians.

While conversing with Us Magazine in recent times, Katherine stated that motherhood has considerably transformed her perspectives on life. She is happy with the transformation in her perspectives. She is also immensely grateful for having had the opportunity to experience the joys of motherhood.

Katherine Heigl has enacted meaty roles in films such as Knocked Up, 27 Dresses and The Ugly Truth. She has been referred to by segments of the entertainment media as a female with a complex persona, who possesses a potent feminist streak. Some film reviewers have also stated that she is an actress, who desires to enact comical characters but is recognized for her dramatic roles.
