Actress Jennifer Grey has surgery to repair ruptured back disc
December 13th, 2010 - 11:42 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Dec 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Jennifer Grey underwent surgery to repair her ruptured back disc. The surgery took place at the D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Center, which is located in Marina del Rey. She had suffered the gruesome injury on the in the finale of Dancing With The Stars show. After her injury, she was in tremendous pain. She just couldn’t move about because the pain was so severe.
According to reports, she was operated by Dr. Robert S. Bray Jr., who removed a ‘huge fragment’ from her back. He said that, after a while, Jennifer “can go back to her family, Pilates, dancing – just about anything she wants to do.” He also revealed that wehn Jennifer asked him if she could still perform in the DWTS finale then he prescribed steroids. He reveals that, “She felt better and asked if she could get to the show. She asked me, ‘Is it safe? Am I going go damage myself?’ I said, ‘No, if you want to, you can try.’ ”
Fortunately the surgery was a complete success and the 50 years old actress is expected to be back on her feet soon. Currently Jennifer is recuperating, but all the same she is feeling better after the surgery. And that is because she isn’t in pain anymore.
According to People, Jennifer said that, “I’m still recovering at home. I have to rest a bit more, but I feel great – completely pain free.”
