Oct 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Freida Pinto who came to the limelight after having appeared in the Oscar Winning film “Slumdog Millionaire” turns 25 on 18th October 2009 i.e. today. The model cum actress has now become a popular face of the entertainment industry. As stated by different news sources, Frieda Pinto has become the highest paid actress of the Indian film industry. The sources stated that following the success of the film “Slumdog Millionaire”, Ms.Pinto had bagged some lucrative offers. She had bagged projects from Julian Schnabel and Woody Allen. Daily Telegraph stated that with these projects she had started to earn more than leading Indian Bollywood heroine Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor.

According to the reports of the British Daily, Frieda Pinto’s earning has reached a whooping two million pounds. As stated by a film analyst, “Frieda is fast reaching the top status in the international arena. The actress’s projects with big filmmakers like Woody Allen have helped her join a league which no other Indian actress has achieved so far.” CEO of Ms. Pinto’s management company, Anirban Das stated that she is a completely global face. He also stated that Frieda Pinto should not be compared with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as she is not projected as Indian girl who has entered the international film industry.

As stated in a media report, the popular names of Hollywood have been scratching their heads after seeing the steep rise in Ms. Pinto’s earning. Frieda Pinto received the nomination for the BAFTA Award. She had received the nomination in the category of Best Actress in Supporting Role.
