It seems Deepshikha Nagpal who has done mostly supporting roles in film like Koyla, Baadshah, Partner Dhoom Dhadaka etc) had realized- the only way she will be able to fulfill her dreams of playing lead roles in the films is by producing one for herself.

But this actress has gone a step ahead and has also decided to direct and write a love story titled Yeh Dooriyan which also stars Chitrashi Rawat of Chak De India, K K Menon and a new face. “It was not tough juggling some many roles, as things fell into place. When I first suggested to my friends about the script, they insisted me to write it myself. I then decided to produce and direct as well because it was my baby and I know I to up bring it. Hit or flop, it’s my baby.”

On the reasons for casting herself as a lead, she becomes defensive, “The story demanded my inclusion, its not that I wanted to launch myself.” Deepshikha further refused to talk much about her character or the film saying, “Its better you wait for Aug when it will release. All I will say that it’s quite woman oriented contemporary story based in a metropolitan city. At the same time it is also a classy masala entertainer with good songs. We have already recorded two bubbly numbers with “Meet Brothers’. The shooting will begin in february with the first schedule in Goa.”

Deepshikha further revealed that she has got a very hot look in the film, “My appearance has always been appreciated. I believe that real beauty goes beyond just looks and hinges a lot on having a positive outlook towards life.” But don’t you think that your marital status will affect your chances? “Well times have changed and today audiences don’t only want 17/18 years old heroines,” signs off this divorcee with two kids.
