Actress Carol Channing Appears On “The View”

carolJuly 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) All the fans of Golden Globe winning actress Carol Channing were in for a treat on Wednesday night when the “Hello, Dolly!” star made an appearance on ABC talk show ‘The View’. While in conversation with the rest of the panel of the chat show, the 89-year-old stage legend talked about a variety of topics which kept the viewers who had tuned in to watch last night’s episode of “The View,” glued to the television screens.

During the interview, Carol Channing pointed out the importance of arts education for students while emphasizing that arts can be instrumental in assisting the students in other areas as well. Moreover, the much acclaimed actress stated that funding for arts education for students in public schools were of utmost importance and urged people to do so. While talking about her in ensuring funds for scholarships for students, the 89-year-old actress hinted that this would be beneficial for every student.

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of her appearance on “The View” turned out to be the segment when Elisabeth Hasselbeck talks about a recent interview in which Johnny Depp had expressed his interest in playing Carol Channing in a movie. When asked about how she feels about the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star’s revelation that playing her in a movie would be his dream role, the actress seemed rather unperturbed by the remark while adding that men have always contemplated impersonating her. The actress further went on to say that since Johnny Depp was such a great artist, his wish to play her hardly comes as a shock to her.
