Wagner confesses in his memoir ‘pieces of my heart’
Celebrities have their way of both destroying themselves and bouncing back to the limelight regardless of the modus operandi available to do it. This is so with celebrated actor Robert Wagner.
Robert Wagner has confessed to a secret affair with actress Barbra Stanwyck. This is detailed in a new memoir, “Pieces of My Heart“.
Wagner admits that he had an affair five decades ago with actress Barbara Stanwyck, while married to Natalie Wood. This is a shock as well as a shame to the institution of marriage. Wagner has drawn out a controversial approach to men’s commitment to marriage. Wagner’s confession is an insult to Christian virtues as well as the vows of marriage.
Wagner has told away in the memoir that he kept his affair with Stanwyck, who was 23 years older than him by then, a secret after they met on the set of 1953’s “Titanic.” The ageing actor said that “I would say she gave me self-esteem”. Wagner is now 78. In the memoir ‘pieces of my heart’ Wagner has confessed that his relationship with Barbara Stanwyck ended because of their age gap and their busy jobs.
The affair was during the time when actress Barbara Stanwyck was at the age 45 and Wagner 22.
Wagner is quoted saying that “I would always have been Mr. Stanwyck…and we both knew it.” Wagner said. The illicit and fornication affair lasted four years and Natalie continued to have a piece of Wagner who had cheated on her.
